The Afijma initiates national and european actions in order to promote the French jazz sene and to support talented innovative musicians. Jazz Migration is one of them.

The Afijma network also help co/production to be performed in many festivals during one to three years. Beside a committee of festivals directors is working on a exhibition project. This project which is still a work in progress will be shawn in many festivals of the Afijma network from 2006 on.

The Afijma has also involved itself in the development of european exchange programs and the promotion of European musicians in France whithin the French festivals. In that regard Jazzé Croisé gatheres several programs : the French Nordic Jazz Transit, the NLF Jazz Action, the festival Una Striscia di Terra Feconda and the invitation program of foreign professionals. The latter gives opportunities to the foreign programmer to better know the French jazz sene.

The Afijma also takes part in several think tank concerning the French music sene in France.
